Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen is a powerful storyteller, whose song texts deal with themes of human life from all angles. Springsteen's songs protagonist is often "an unsong hero", called Mary, Joe, Billy, Frank, Jane, etc. Realistic and
touching texts create an emotional connection between listener and songpersons.
Sprigsteens first record was Greetings from Ashbury Park N.J. His first succe was Born to Run in 1975. The biggest commersiellt succe was Born in the U.S.A. in 1984. The biggest artistic impact had in my view the album Nebraska in 1982. He has
sold more than 65 million albums in the United States and more than 120 million worldwide.
Springsteen has become known above all for his concerts. He has a very rare touch with his audience. As guitarist he is also excellent.
